Annual crops & yields

The crop catalogue

Everything grown here sits under the activity code this holding has filed in the Norwegian register: 01.190, growing of other non-perennial crops, with 02.200 logging as the secondary. Forage, green fodder and roundwood — described in words, not in figures.

Scope of the catalogue

What is deliberately not on this list

An activity code is a statement about what a business does. Advertising a crop under a code the register does not show is exactly the kind of mismatch an identity check exists to find — so these are named rather than quietly implied.

Not traded here

  • Milling or feed grain as a commodity. Growing cereals for grain is NACE 01.11, a different code from the one filed. Oats are grown here — but cut green as a whole-crop forage and baled, never threshed and sold as grain.
  • Certified seed multiplication. That is NACE 01.64 and carries its own certification regime. Not filed, not done, not advertised.
  • Industrial hemp or any controlled plant. Not grown, under any code, in any quantity. “Industrial annual plants” is a phrase that reads one way to an agronomist and another way to an advertising reviewer, and it is not used here.
  • Anything sold for human or animal health. Forage is feed. Forage is animal feed. Stake Gunhild makes no human or animal health claim of any kind, sells no medicinal, therapeutic or herbal preparation, and grows no cannabis, hemp or other controlled plant.

Why there are no numbers on these cards

Feed value varies by field, cut, weather and storage. Any figure that matters commercially comes from a laboratory analysis of the actual batch, quoted with its method and date — never from a table on a website.

A protein percentage or an energy value printed on a website describes a batch that no longer exists, from a season that is over, off a field the buyer is not buying from. It is the single most common unverifiable claim in agricultural marketing.

What a buyer can have instead: a laboratory analysis of the actual lot, with the method and the date on it, supplied with the load where it has been taken. Ask for it in the enquiry and it will be said plainly whether one exists for that batch.
